Purge type (gas-sealed) round-mouth rotary valve is a high-performance feeding equipment designed for high sealing requirements and special working conditions. It adopts a compressed gas purge sealing structure to effectively prevent dust leakage, gas backflow or material reflux while maintaining continuous and stable material transportation. Its round mouth design can be easily connected to standard pipelines, hoppers, dust collectors and other equipment. It is suitable for industries with extremely high sealing requirements such as powder processing, pneumatic conveying, and dust removal systems, such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, metallurgy, environmental protection, and food processing.
Features: Compressed air (or inert gas) channels are designed at both ends of the rotor blades (shaft ends) or inside the rotor. Clean and dry gas is introduced to form an air curtain barrier to prevent system gas from leaking through the gap at the end of the rotor.
Advantages:
Good sealing effect and can withstand higher pressure differences.
Purge gas can cool the end of the rotor and extend the life of bearings and seals.
Prevent materials from entering the end bearing area and reduce the risk of jamming.
Can be used for high-temperature, viscous or slightly corrosive materials (appropriate gas needs to be selected).
Disadvantages: Requires an additional gas source (energy consumption), which increases system complexity. Purge gas will enter the material flow, which may affect the process (compatibility needs to be considered).
Applicable: High pressure difference system, high temperature material, viscous material, need to prevent material from entering the bearing or need additional cooling.
